A Brief History of Ubiquity
Nathalie Morris and Guy Bibby founded Ubiquity in 2000. It has since become a leading force in New Zealand digital marketing and a pioneer in customer engagement marketing.
In the early days of Ubiquity we built two of the first large-scale gaming sites in New Zealand - Virtual NPC and Virtual Super 12. Sites that had to handle large traffic volumes with up to 100,000 people playing the games at once, which also required highly personalised, customisable communications to the gaming community. It wasn't long before this expertise transferred into the corporate world, creating sites such as ASB Bank Virtual Flowers, a web application for people to adopt plants, feeding them water and sunshine to make them grow and bloom flowers. This gave us experience with dynamic graphics as well as writing complex algorithms to make the plants bloom or wither.
As the projects continued to grow so did the demand for us to develop our own proprietary software products for clients to buy and/or use online, uTransact™ (online payments) and uSuite™(online survey). As our expertise in developing technology products increased, the demand for Ubiquity's consulting services also continued to grow, resulting in an exciting portfolio of clients and projects.
2010 has seen another major leap forward with the launch of uQ Engage and a constantly expanding portfolio of customer engagement marketing services.
