Sustainable Business
Ubiquity takes responsibility for the impact of its business activities and always looks for sustainable options. That includes ensuring our business practices have a positive effective on our customers, suppliers, employees, shareholders and the wider business community.
Sponsorship
As part of its commitment to “giving back”, Ubiquity provides free online marketing services to community organisations. We currently sponsor the following organisations:
- Motutapu Restoration Trust – A Trust that is working to restore Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf, undertaking extensive tree planting and weed control.
- Brainweek - An initiative of the Neurological Foundation which aims to educate New Zealanders about the need to exercise the brain.
- Workchoice Trust – An organisation that coordinates Workchoice Day, placing high school students in companies for a day to help them make career choices.

Sustainability
We take a number of small steps that reduce our carbon footprint on a daily basis:
- All our company vehicles are eco-friendly Toyota Prius and Smart Cars.
- Ubiquity is part of the Sustainable Business Network.
- We calculate our carbon footprint annually and our staff voluntarily plant enough native trees on islands in the Auckland region to neutralise our emissions.
- We practise waste minimisation by recycling paper and cardboard.
- We use energy-efficient fluorescent lighting and minimise their usage.
- Our office cleaning chemicals are all biodegradable.
We continue to encourage others to consider the impact of the actions their business creates, and we are constantly open to new ideas as to how we can reduce our carbon footprint and run our business in an ethical, sustainable way.
